• A pharmacist respects colleagues and other health professionals. When necessary, pharmacists should consult with colleagues or other health professionals to best help patients. They should also acknowledge that other health professionals may differ in their beliefs and values when it comes to patient care.
• A pharmacist serves the needs of the community and society. While the primary obligation is to individual patients, sometimes this obligation may extend to the community and society.
• A pharmacist seeks fairness when distributing health resources. Pharmacists are fair and equitable when allocating health resources. They must take care to balance the needs of patients and society.
